Mom and I processed the cucumbers from our trip to the farm into spicy bread-and-butter pickles today, which was, indeed, a process.
I won’t go through all the steps, as I am not sure we did everything in the exact proper order and am just hoping that the jars sealed properly and those pickles stay preserved!
I am very pleased with my bounty: 6 pints of pickles and 6 half-pints of tayberry jam to take home with me.
Mom is going to gift me one of her two small water bath canners so I can do some preserving at home, too. I wouldn’t mind getting another batch of those amazing Cowiche cherries and putting them up for the winter. They are huge!
